The girls were given beautiful latch hook rugs made by their grandpa J:
He had a kit for a bay horse that he then modified to have the same facial markings as Curly. I think he did a great job on it! R loves her rug.
There was no kit for the Monte rug. J (and my mom!) hand-cut all the needed yarn and designed the horse head, using the first rug and a picture of Monte as a guide. I think they did a pretty good job! And of course E is totally happy with the outcome.
